The manipulator shown here, with its custom-designed fixture, was developed, engineered, and manufactured for the automotive industry. This lifting aid relieves the strain on workers who, in this case, must safely and precisely install the third row of seats in the car.

Using this special solution, the worker is able to lift the third row of seats, weighing approximately 40 kg, single-handedly and position it precisely at the corresponding screw points. In the next step, the assembly worker bolts the seat row into the vehicle and then releases the manipulator to lift the next row of seats.
