Leasing and financing lifting aids

Leasing and hire purchase options for manipulators, lifting axes and lifting aids from Zeilhofer via Würth Leasing

Short answer

Yes, lifting aids can be leased. Zeilhofer manipulators, lifting axes, and lifting aids for loads up to 1,200 kg are leased through our financing partner Würth Leasing, with terms of 24, 36, or 48 months. If you want to own the equipment at the end of the lease, you can choose a hire-purchase option with terms of 12, 24, 36, or 48 months. This guide shows you which option suits your company best, how financing with Würth Leasing works, and what to consider when comparing financing offers.

The guide "What does a manipulator cost?" explains what a system costs and what the price depends on.

At a glance

  • This refers to handling technology from Zeilhofer: manipulators, lifting axes and lifting aids, not forklifts or industrial trucks.

  • Leasing: 24, 36 or 48 months, the plant belongs to Würth Leasing.

  • Rent-to-own: 12, 24, 36 or 48 months; after the final payment, the investment belongs to you.

  • Würth Leasing provides financing regardless of the plant price, as long as the creditworthiness is satisfactory.

  • The complete solution, including the basic system, device, and control system, is financed.

  • Zeilhofer remains your contact person for technology and service throughout the entire term.

CHAPTER 1
When leasing a lifting aid is worthwhile

Leasing is worthwhile if the lifting aid is a firmly planned necessity, but the full amount shouldn't be drawn from the budget all at once. Typical examples include a risk assessment according to the Manual Handling Regulations, which reveals an immediate need for action, while the year's investment budget is already allocated. Or a new workstation that must be ergonomically equipped by the start of production. Instead of postponing the measure, you start with a fixed monthly payment, and your employees benefit from relief from day one.

With leasing, you no longer compare the investment with the savings, but rather the monthly payment with the monthly savings. If the payment is lower, the lifting aid pays for itself from the very first month. The article " Calculating the Amortization of a Lifting Aid" explains how to quantify the savings.

CHAPTER 2
Leasing or hire purchase: how both options work

Both options are handled through Würth Leasing and spread the investment over fixed monthly payments. The difference lies in the ownership.

CHAPTER 3
Four questions that will make the decision

Do you want to become an owner?

If you intend to keep the equipment permanently in your portfolio, hire purchase is the most direct option. Leasing is suitable if usage is the primary focus.

Is there available liquidity?

Those who have available funds and don't want financing costs buy. Those who need liquidity for their core business finance.

How short should the runtime be?

Hire purchase is possible from 12 months, leasing from 24 months. A shorter term means a higher monthly payment, a longer term a lower one.

Should the balance sheet be relieved?

With leasing, the asset remains with the lessor. With hire purchase, you activate the asset yourself and depreciate it.

CHAPTER 4
Why Zeilhofer doesn't offer rent

Rental equipment works well with standard technology like forklifts or pallet trucks because the same device fits many customers. A Zeilhofer lifting aid, however, is designed specifically for your component, your workstation, and your process. The gripper, lifting height, and reach are precisely tailored to this one task, which is why the system cannot be used at the next customer's site after a short time. Those who want to avoid the upfront investment can use leasing or hire purchase. The article "Renting or Buying a Manipulator" provides more detailed information on when each procurement method makes sense.

CHAPTER 5
Which investments can be financed?

Würth Leasing finances the entire Zeilhofer program, regardless of the system price, as long as the creditworthiness is satisfactory. The basic system, project-specific equipment, and control system are all covered by a single contract.

CHAPTER 6

This is how financing with Würth Leasing works.

The financing is based on Zeilhofer's technical offering. Chapter 10 of the guide "What does a manipulator cost?" describes how you can obtain this fixed-price offer. The process continues as follows:

01 State your financing request

When making your inquiry or after receiving your offer, please state whether you would like to lease or finance via hire purchase.

04
Contract

They conclude the contract with Würth Leasing. Würth Leasing handles the payment for the system at Zeilhofer.

02
Financing offer

Based on the Zeilhofer offer, Würth Leasing will create your leasing or hire purchase offer with the desired term.

05
Delivery and installments

Zeilhofer delivers and commissions the system; you pay the agreed monthly installments to Würth Leasing.

03
Credit check

Würth Leasing will check your creditworthiness. Würth Leasing will inform you directly which documents are required.

CHAPTER 7
Checklist: How to correctly compare financing offers

When comparing offers for lifting equipment with financing, don't just look at the monthly payment. These points should be on your list:

  • Is the entire system financed, including the basic system, equipment, and control system?

  • Are assembly, commissioning and training part of the financing?

  • Does the operating time match the planned use of the system?

  • Do you want to own the property in the end? Then choose rent-to-own instead of leasing.

  • What does the contract stipulate regarding the end of its term?

  • Who is the contact person for technical and service matters during the contract period?

  • Are maintenance and the annual safety inspection according to DGUV Regulation 54 planned?

FAQ / Q&A

Frequently asked questions about leasing and hire purchase

01 Can you lease a lifting aid?

Yes. Zeilhofer manipulators, lifting axes and lifting aids can be leased through the financing partner Würth Leasing, with terms of 24, 36 or 48 months.

02 Leasing or hire purchase, which is better?

Hire purchase is suitable if you want to own the equipment at the end of the term or if a short term of 12 months or more is desired. Leasing is suitable if usage is the primary focus and you want to reduce the burden on your balance sheet.

03 Is there a minimum amount for financing?

Würth Leasing finances Zeilhofer plants regardless of price, as long as the customer's creditworthiness is satisfactory.

04 Can custom-made products be leased?

Yes. Even individually designed Zeilhofer systems with a load capacity of up to 1,200 kg, featuring customer-specific fixtures and controls, can be leased or financed via hire purchase.

05 Why doesn't Zeilhofer offer rent?

Every Zeilhofer system is designed specifically for the customer's component, workstation, and process, and is therefore not a rental unit. Leasing and hire-purchase options are available through Würth Leasing as alternatives to purchasing.

06 Which duration is the right one?

A shorter term means higher monthly payments, a longer term means lower monthly payments. Hire purchase is possible with 12, 24, 36 or 48 months, leasing with 24, 36 or 48 months.

07 Who is the contact person during the term?

Zeilhofer remains your contact for technical matters, spare parts, and service. The contract and installments are handled through Würth Leasing.

08 Does the UVV inspection also apply to leased systems?

Yes. The annual safety inspection according to DGUV Regulation 54 applies to leased systems just as it does to purchased ones. Upon request, Zeilhofer, as the manufacturer, will handle maintenance and inspection.
